You have an amazing setting, hotel, food, and staff who are knowledgeable and friendly - congratulations on such a wonderful arrangement!
We will hopefully see you again later in the year - good luck with the new lodge and reception!

Regrettably we (Jean Spivey, Phyllis Woodman and Mr. Jeeves) didn't get to meet you when we spent 10 nights at your lovely hotel. We were so comfortable in Oak Lodge and
were very reluctant to leave. You have made a unique style of hotel and the whole atmosphere of the place exudes a sense of warmth which is so often missing in larger establishments.
The staff did you proud in your absence and Billie in particular was always there to cater for any little needs your guests might have. Unfortunately she wasn't there when we left so we weren't able to
say goodbye. Will you please pass on our thanks to her and tell her that Mr. Jeeves takes a dim view of not having his meals topped up with Phyllis's excess meat!
Thank you and all your staff and we hope to return next year
Yours, Phyllis Woodman, Jean Spivey and Mr. Jeeves(the dog)
Just a quick note to say thank you. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back. The lovely Tea loaf was a real hit and did not last long. Phil you offered us the recipe, do you think you could send it ?

To whom it may concern
I was a little worried when I read reviews about your drive, and a few other reviews about the cost of dinner etc but my husband had booked this as a birthday present so I didnt want to upset him. When we arrived I was blown away it was like a little piece of magic tucked away in the woods. We drive a porche and had no problems with the drive . Dinner was everything I wanted it to be in fact I was so stuffed I just flaked out on the sofa and didnt have an evening swim like Id promised myself. Both DeeDee and Philip you have a great place, whatever is it you do keep doing it. We are bringing my mum and dad for their 50th wedding anniversary next year they will love it. It is so quiet and peaceful , all I could hear was the rustling of the trees and a pheasant at dusk. I have already told my brother and his partner to book for a get away from the kids.

Hi DeeDee & Philip
My sister's, husband & brother-in-law and I would like to thank you both for a wonderful stay at Felbrigg Lodge. The holiday was more than I could have hoped for. We had much laughter and a truly fantastic time together in 'The Nest'. The food was excellent and thank you for catering for some special dietary needs. Barbara had a birthday to always remember, especially the afternoon tea of scones and strawberries. We had great fun in the Hot Tub. We hope to come again in the near future. You are both such attentive hosts and you have a gem of a Hotel in beautiful surroundings.
We all wish you well for the future.

I just wanted to drop you an e-mail to thank you for your hospitality on the 23rd July. You really made me feel welcome during my short stay and the lodge was simply "idyllic!!" It was a shame I couldn't enjoy the lodge and its facilities in its entirety (too hungover for a swim!) but hope to stay with you again in the future.
Wishing you all the best!
Room was lovely, Food was delightful (still dreaming of my creme brule yum!) Service was outstanding and would we go back.Yes in a heart beat. Hoping to revisit Norfolk in September for our wedding Anniversary

I was a bit sceptical when my partner said we were staying in a lodge , situated around a restaurant in North Norfolk ... somehow I imagined a chalet, or a wooden hut, but I couldnt believe my eyes. I was taken to a beautifully decorated room (larger than most hotel rooms ) which ticked all the boxes for Cleanliness, warmth and feeling of cosiness.A bottle of champgane was sitting waiting and my weekend got off to a fantastic start. Thank you DeeDee for all your help.

A big thankyou for our stay in The Oak this weekend. It was the stuff that dreams are made of. From sitting in front of a wood burner on a cold wet afternoon to the fabulous food and welcome we recieved. We enjoyed the privacy of our own space with views accross the orchard. Thank you again.

Dear Dee Dee
Just to say a big thankyou for making our New Year extra special. We had a wonderful time during our stay with you and throughout our travels have never found anywhere as delightfull as Felbrigg Lodge. You, your family and staff always make us feel so welcome which is why we will have no hesitation to come and see you again. Thankyou again and wish you a very Happy and Healthy New year.
I just wanted to say how much i enjoyed staying with you just before christmas. It was a lovely surprise finding all my favourites on the menu especially the mussels and i really appreciate all the effort that you put into making my birthday weekend so special. Happy New Year and hope to see you all in the future one day.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for making out stay so wonderful. The Oak pavillion with the wood burner, the friendly welcome, the beautiful location, the gorgeous breakfast, the swimming pool and the snow all made it a really magical occasion and a 40th birthday my wife will remember for a long time.
Thank you very very much.
I hope you and your family have a very happy Christmas.

We don't come across many places that deliver this level of overall service and quality so had to drop you a big thanks.
Found you last minute and had an excellent stay in the Tamerisk Suite I have never stayed in a place so peaceful. The hosts are brilliant and work exceptionally hard to ensure you have a perfect stay. The food was excellent with a great selection considering they only have 6 suites to cater definitely recommend to everyone looking to stay in this area of Norfolk.

Forgot to bring the map, so it wasn't as easy to find as we had hoped, but once we arrived it was all worthwhile. Thank you for altering the menu to cater for Joan's diabeties. Looking forward to seeing you again in the spring. - Norman and Joan Conner - September 2009
Just to thank you so much for your hospitality towards Jack and me last week, we really enjoyed our (all too short!) stay at the Lodge, and hope to come and visit you again soon! Everything was perfect - and certainly didn't dent Jack's initial judgement of it as being like a fairytale! - Samantha - August 2009
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can not praise the staff and facilities enough. It was more magical and relaxing than we imagined, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel like part of the family. The facilities were of a high standard and the food was delightful. We would recommend this to anyone and will be revisiting in the future. - Katherine Cottee - August 2009
I just wanted to say thank you for giving us a highly enjoyable weekends stay in Briar. My son and I had a great time, the lodges are beautiful and perfect for what we needed them for, everywhere was clean and it is nice to be such lovely surroundings. Sam has already asked if he can come and visit you again. Thank you again for your hospitality. - Mrs M Frith and Sam Frith - July 2009
We have visited my Mum in Cromer in her nursing home every two months for the last two years. Fell upon Felbrigg Lodge by accident and have stayed three times now. I love the quiet laid back almost sleepy feeling that comes over me when I enter down the long drive DeeDee always greets me with a big smile and I feel instantly welcome and important. Dinner is served in a casual way and it makes the whole experience of coming a pleasure not a duty. - Jean and John - June 2009
Thank you for a lovely welcoming stay at Felbrigg Lodge. We stayed in Bramble and thought it was fantastic and will be booking again. Breakfast was relaxed and not rushed and a good choice on the menu. As for Bentley the resident dog, well we fell in love with him and he could have come home with us. I was naughty though and gave him some doggy treats. My only regret is we should have booked another night. Thanks again. - Ann and Andrew Hudson - May 09
We found Felbrigg Lodge after searching for a last minute break and have thanked our lucky stars ever since!! It is FANTASTIC!! It is difficult to know where to start the praise but as they say in no particular order, Dee Dee is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble - we were treated like royalty, we stayed at Bracken Junior Suite for 2 nights and the surroundings (superb mature site down a long drive), quality and standard of accommodation was exceptional, we booked half board and the food choice was varied, well presented and very tasty! Eliot (age 10) and us (his parents aged a little more) loved the warm pool which we managed 3 one hour sessions in almost alone! The beautiful lake of Felbrigg Hall and the hall itself is a lovely stroll up the long drive across a short section of road and through mature woodland, with breath taking vistas...this walk is a must!! This place is unbeaten for a relaxed (and romantic) stay. If you want a high quality stay in beautiful part of the world Felbrigg Lodge should be your first choice...we had a fantastic time and absolutely adored it....can't wait to return! - Andy Bird - May 2009
Just to let you know that the stay we had in the Chestnut Suite was absolutely amazing and we would love to write a review for you. Could you please let us know how it is best to submit this and you could include it on your website. Once again thank you for an absolutely lovely time, and the next time we stay Nikki want's to take Bentley home with her. Best Wishes - James and Nikki - May 2009
I loved the sausages, feeding the horses with Ariane and swimming with my mum and dad in the pool the best parts of my Easter holiday (Amy Carter Aged 7 March 2009)
We had a fantastic weekend based at Felbrigg. We stayed in the Oak Pavilion, which was a beautiful room with plenty of space to relax. We used the pool, which was great, and really enjoyed the excellent food. It's a great base for exploring the Norfolk coast, and we walked a few miles along the beaches around Cromer, as well as driving through many of the small coastal towns. - Andrew Fryatt - March 2009
I work in London, love walking and cycling and birdwatching so my girlfriend organised a stay in The Oak . I was blown away. It reminded me of a place in New Zealand. We lit the fire, drank too much ate too much and felt totally relaxed and at peace with the world. We have booked the whole place for my 30th birthday in July. What a venue. What a find. - Tim Collier - April 2009
It was our first wedding anniversary I had booked to stay in another hotel, to be told it had been sold and closed for refurbishment. So I booked to stay at Felbrigg Lodge. We got lost trying to find it ! It rained and we arrived after having a blazing row...Not a good start. When we woke on the Saturday the sun was streaming through the windows the quietness hit me and after a fantastic breakfast cooked by Phil we went on to have the best weekend ever. We visited Holt and Blakeney. We walked into Felbrigg Estate and had the best steak for years in the Ivy Restaurant. Thank you for turning a distaster into such a success. - Josh and Millie Brewster - April 2009
Last year my daughter came over from Australia with her children, we took over all six rooms and had a family get together. The kids all loved the swimming pool. Feeding the horses and playing cricket with Philip and DeeDee's children. We designed a menu to suit everyone and none of us had to do a thing, not even the washing up!! I will remember that trip for ever...We revisited last week. It was still as wonderful. The food was still as piping hot and the welcome still as warm. Although the weather wasn't too good. - Joyce and Ted McAndrews - April 2009
We have just spent two fabulous days in Norfolk, the weather has been amazing, the swimming pool was perfect temp (32 degrees ) and we have eaten until we are bursting at the seams.....back to London to go on a diet. The creme brule was to die for! - Mrs Jane Inchcombe - March 2009
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for making our weekend a marvelous unique and memorable time. The attention that all your guests receive puts most other hotels to shame .We will be back! - Lyden and Sarah Pedley - March 2009
